The Humane Society of Greater Jupiter-Tequesta

DBA Furry Friends Adoption & Clinic

We are proud to have rescued hundreds of thousands of abused and neglected animals since our inception in 1985.

A no-kill shelter, Furry Friends euthanizes only for humane and medical reasons. We are steadfast in our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and find permanent loving homes for the animals in our care. In addition to our adoption facility in Jupiter, we operate a 27 acre ranch in nearby Palm City where cats, dogs, horses, goats and other animals find sanctuary and a place to live out their lives in a beautiful, rural setting.

Furry Friends veterinary hospital is pleased to provide affordable healthcare services for the public including low cost spay/neuter. No breed is ever discriminated against and no sick or injured animal is turned away due to the owner's inability to pay. We work to find an acceptable financial solution.

We operate a large thrift store at 615 Indiantown Road in Jupiter considered to be a bargain hunter's dream. All proceeds benefit the shelter but there is so much more needed to meet the financial demands of feeding and providing medical care for the animals in our shelter.

We are a not for profit 501(c)3 charitable organization that does not receive any state or county funding, although we are most appreciative to the Town of Jupiter for its past financial support of our organization.
